BUSTAFUNK

Photographie : Paul Tridoux
At the crossroads of hip-hop and electro, Bustafunk has decided never to choose between these two influences that constitute his DNA.
Being part of the FrenchTouch wave, he made himself known by a succession of housemusic EP, which for some will become references to the greatest DJs. He ended up signing with the legendary American label Trax Records. Then in 2001, his "Run Baby Run" maxi was chosen by the TF1 french channel as the generic of the very emblematic Star Academy Tv show. At the same period, Bustafunk signs his eponymous album on the Island Record label and makes his debut in the world of soundtrack music by composing the scores of the cartoon Funky Cops and the movie HS.
As a "studio man", he decides to focus on artistic realisation and produces numerous albums, accumulating gold and platinum records. He collaborates with many big french artists such as Nadiyah, Amel Bent, Jena Lee, Cheryfah Luna, La Fouine, Saïan Supa Crew, Humphrey, Sofia Essaïdi ...
In 2011, he decides to devote himself entirely to soundtrack music . He composes and realizes notably the credits and part of the score of the hit film The Kaïra by Franck Gastambide, of the cartoon Foot 2 Rue Extrême and participates in Dheepan by Jacques Audiard, Palme d'Or at Cannes in 2015. His regular incursions into the world of advertising (L'oreal, Cacharel, Teddy Smith, KFC, Vittel, Caisse d'Epargne, Deezer) also nourishes his creativity, which he places at the service of the Universal Publishing Production Music label (Koka, Galery ) by making thematic albums (Future Bass, Tropical House, Trap, Soul ...)
